Spiritual Direction

What is spiritual direction?

Spiritual Direction is an ancient ministry, sometimes called spiritual counsel, prayer guidance or soul friendship. It is about taking time to meet with someone and talk together about your spiritual journey, prayer and search for God. Many people find that this pattern of reflective companionship can be a significant help. On a Cursillo weekend, Spiritual Direction is explained in one of the modules, and offered gently as a resource available to each one of us as part of our Fourth Day activity.

In Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire there is an ecumenical network of individuals who offer the ministry of Spiritual Direction and this is called SpiDir, which is endorsed by the Diocese of Oxford. Or if you would like advice from within Oxford Anglican Cursillo, please contact our Spiritual Director.
